What Could Gunnar's Place Do For Your Family?
It is so hard having a handicapped child that requires 24-hour care and not have a break. Gunnar’s Place would have given me the opportunity I believe to be a better mom and a better caregiver to my daughter because I would not have been so stressed out. There, they have people who understand children’s disabilities; they know how to take care of a child on a ventilator, and they have a lot of love to give. If you have a child or grandchild with a disability, just know that there is a place out there for your child to go that is safe, so you don’t have to worry.

“Normal childcare facilities are not equipped, staffed, nor comfortable caring for children with medical needs. Seriously, countless families like ours have had their lives changed because there are no options available for childcare.”

“Just a daily trip to the grocery store takes an extra 20-30 minutes with my son’s medical equipment in tow. Gunnar’s place would create a safe environment where he can play with his peers under the watchful eye of medical experienced caregivers giving me a piece of mind while I am out.”

“We needed a daycare that had medically trained staff. Peyton would quit breathing at times, so we completely changed our lives so one of us could be home with her.
A facility like Gunnar’s Place would have made life much easier!”
